PropX-Outdoor Quick Start

Wire and test your PropX-Outdoor on the bench, pair with the app, fire a prop, and latch the lid — before it ever sees weather.

Nine steps — indoors, on a bench, before you install anything outside. Weatherproof installation lives in the setup guide.

Before you start, you’ll need

  • Your PropX-Outdoor controller
  • A 9–24 V DC power supply
  • A prop or light drawing under 1.5 amps
  • A small flat screwdriver
  • A computer with Bluetooth and the PropX Control Center app
  • Time: about 10 minutes

⚠️ Warning: Never use a power supply above 24 volts.

⚠️ Warning: Keep power unplugged until step 3. Never wire with power on.

The nine steps

  1. Install the PropX Control Center app.

    (Download link: PLACEHOLDER.)

You'll see: the app's main window.

  2. Route your prop's wires into the enclosure and connect them across output pair 1 — + to +, − to −.

(Cable entry and terminal details being confirmed — #77.)

You'll see: both wires held firmly.

  3. Connect your power supply.

    (Power entry — #77.)

You'll see: lights flash red → green → blue. (Light visibility with the lid closed — #79.)

  4. Wait for Status 1 solid blue.

    You'll see: ready.

  5. Put the Outdoor in pairing mode: hold the Record and Output 1 buttons together for about 5 seconds, then release.

You'll see: the status light flashes purple — ready to pair.

  6. In the app, click Scan.

You'll see: PropX-Outdoor- plus your serial number.

  7. Click Add.

You'll see: it connects — no PIN needed.

  8. In the app, turn on output 1.

You'll see: your prop fires. (Status 2 flashing yellow/purple = no load sensed — re-check the wiring.)

  9. Turn output 1 off, then close and latch the lid.

You'll see: prop off, enclosure sealed. Done — the setup guide covers taking it outside.
