PropX-Motor device tour

The labeled map of the PropX-Motor: motor terminals and PARK home switch, output pairs, trigger inputs, speaker terminals, PROG ports, Speed knob, lights.

The map of your controller — every other page points back here.

  1. Power ("9-24V DC - 5A")

9–24 V DC, 5 A max — center-positive power jack or − + screw terminal. Reverse-polarity protected; no fuse (built-in protection). Pick a supply voltage your motor is rated for — the motor terminals drive at supply voltage.

  2. Motor terminals 1–2 and PARK

Motor terminals 1 and 2 drive any brushed DC motor that matches your supply voltage and stays under the current limit (up to 10 A, adjustable). Either wire order — swap the two wires to flip "forward". PARK (one terminal) takes a home switch so "return to start" moves end in exactly the same place (the switch's second wire is being confirmed — #74).

  3. Output pairs 1–2

    Two − + switching pairs for extra props, 1.5 A each — wire across the pair, + to +, − to −.

  4. Trigger inputs and Trigger Power

Two inputs (A/B pins, either orientation, 12 V or ground, 2 A) plus Trigger Power (− +) for sensors.

⚠️ Warning: Trigger Power equals your supply voltage — check sensor ratings.

  5. Speaker terminals and AUX

Stereo R/L pairs, 4–8 Ω, 65 watts total (or one bridged speaker); plus a 5 W AUX output for quiet testing (connector — #66).

  6. PROG A and PROG B ports (RJ45)

DMX (512 channels) or PropX Mesh — one at a time; PROG A carries an extra 5 V pin; mesh role set by internal jumpers (#44).

  7. MicroSD and USB-C

MP3s (≤32 MB each) and firmware updates on MicroSD; 32 MB built-in storage; USB-C for setup and service.

  8. Speed knob ("Speed — REV / FWD")

Enable dial control in the app and the knob drives the motor directly: center off, FWD/REV either side, further = faster.

  9. Lights and buttons

Status 1 / Status 2 (table on the troubleshooting page); Power; Input (a trigger is active); Fwd / Rvs (motor direction); Option (reserved for future features); PLAY and REC with matched lights. Buttons: PLAY, REC, two Function buttons, VOL +/−, Outputs 1/2 (roles being confirmed — #65; "Rvs 1" label — #75).

  10. Mounting flanges

Footprint 163 × 89 mm (units — #49). No DIN rail. No LED strip support on this model.
