PropX-Outdoor device tour

The map of the PropX-Outdoor: the weather-sealed enclosure, power, output pairs, trigger inputs, 40 W audio, DMX/Mesh, and the internal DEFAULT button.

The functional map of the controller. The electronics are the same family as the PropX-Pro.

  1. The sealed enclosure

Weather-sealed for outdoor use — rain, fog machines, hose-downs — as long as the lid is closed and latched and every cable entry is snug.

  2. Power

    9–24 V DC, 5 A max. Reverse-polarity protected; no fuse (built-in protection).

  3. Output pairs

    Switching − + pairs, 1.5 A each — wire a prop across a pair.

  4. Trigger inputs and Trigger Power

Two inputs (A/B pins, either orientation, 12 V or ground, 2 A) plus Trigger Power.

⚠️ Warning: Trigger Power equals your supply voltage, and outdoor sensors must be weather-rated themselves.

  5. Speaker connection

40 watts total, speakers 4–8 Ω (one bridged or a stereo pair). There is no AUX output on this model. Use weather-rated speakers outdoors.

  6. DMX and PropX Mesh

Future development. DMX (512 channels) and PropX Mesh are planned for this model but not yet available.

  7. MicroSD and USB-C

Load your sound files (MP3s, up to 32 MB each) from a MicroSD card or straight from the app — there's also 32 MB of storage built in, so a card isn't required. Firmware updates work the same way, from a MicroSD card or the app. The USB-C port is used for setup and servicing the controller.

  8. The DEFAULT button (inside)

On the circuit board inside. A planned feature will factory-reset the controller by holding it 30 seconds.

  9. Mounting

Enclosure mounting holes; footprint 117 × 133 mm. No display on this model.
